WOW. What an amazing turnout we had for our Grand Opening. Thank you to all who came out and supported the library during those three days!

Kicking off the event on Saturday, Feb. 21st was ND Author Barb Solberg. She had a wonderful presentation on her book “What We Leave Behind”. It is a wonderful book, and I highly suggest checking it out at the library!

Monday, Feb. 23 was another day filled with excitement at the library. We had a special story time with Ms Kate, with a special guest from the ND State Library! Mary read a book to the story time guests, and sang along with our fun story time songs. The kids made book worm crafts, and got their own book bag to fill with books.
The “Design Your Book Bag” was a huge hit, and will be an activity for craft night in the near future!

Tuesday wrapped up our grand opening celebration with life-size games and so much fun was had!

We had some wonderful sponsors for our grand prizes. There were 10 prize baskets to choose from, and all the winners were SO excited.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the library the past 6 months. What an amazing accomplishment it is to have such an amazing place to gather and learn in our small little community. I am so excited to see where the future takes us here at the Halliday Public Library!
